Casting Indra's Net – A Book Release Party!

COH is excited to host a book release celebration for Ayo Yetunde's new book Casting Indra's Net: Fostering Spiritual Kinship and Community. Creating compassionate communities takes more than good will—it requires a dedication to respecting cultural differences while remembering the fundamental spiritual kinship that exists between all people. Activist, counselor, and Buddhist teacher Ayo Yetunde creatively unpacks this condition through the metaphor of Indra’s Net—a universal net in which all beings reflect each other like jewels.

Special "pop-in" guests include:

  • Georgia State University Prof. Monique Moultrie, biographer and author who has written about Ayo in Hidden Histories: Faith and Black Lesbian Leadership.

  • Author Resmaa MenakemMy Grandmother's Hands and The Quaking of America.

  • Interfaith America founder and author Eboo PatelWe Need to Build: Field Notes for Diverse Democracy.

  • Dr. Karma Lekshe Tsomo, founder of Sakyadhita International Association of Buddhist Women, who has written about Ayo in the book on the Parliament of the World's Religions.
